After seeing a great need in the industry, Marvin Huffaker began his network consulting company as a sole proprietorship in 2001. Strong demand for Marvin's specialized networking expertise grew quickly and so did the company. In 2005, with the addition of highly skilled employees, the company gained corporate status and became Marvin Huffaker Consulting, Inc.
Marvin Huffaker Consulting, Inc. employs highly trained and experienced engineers, and has clients in most states and major cities throughout the United States. Additionally, in 2006, we started working with some international companies in Canada, Europe, and Australia. We are well respected throughout the industry and have a reputation for our quality, experience, and expertise.
Primary Areas of Expertise
We have two main areas of expertise, and our engineers are highly trained and qualified in these areas. We only service and support solutions where we have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the solution. You can be confided that we are qualified to handle your most complicated business need within these practice areas.
Networking, Messaging, and Collaboration
Our first area of expertise is built around networking and messaging, more specifically with Novell solutions such as NetWare, GroupWise, and Open Enterprise Server (OES). If your company runs any of these solutions, we can support, manage, administer, and handle any other need you may have. Specific to email solutions, we service and support solutions from Gwava, Messaging Architects, and Notifylink to provide email archiving and e-Discovery, disaster recovery, high availability, and mobile email support.
Virtualization and Storage
Our second area of expertise is with virtualization and storage.
We can help consolidate your data center, or implement an intelligent SAN solution to provide high availability and disaster recovery for your critical business applications. Our virtualization and storage partners are Citrix, VMWare, and Compellent.
Many of the virtualization solutions we implement occur during a network or email server migration to either a new hardware platform or a new operating system.
Premium Services and Maintenance Contracts
Our goal is to provide the highest level of service to our clients. We strive to establish and maintain long term relationships that are beneficial to both companies. We offer several premium service options that help manage, maintain, support, and upgrade your network and email systems. These packages offer a tremendous value that cannot be beat. Customers with premium service contracts are VIP customers with priority scheduling, management, and special care.

Our clients appreciate our high quality of service and technical expertise. We work best with private sector companies in the Small-Midsize range, located anywhere in the United States. Our average client size is about 250 users, and we work well with companies up to 1000 users. We have experience with banking, insurance, manufacturing, construction, professional services, and retail. Through our world class Remote Service technologies we are able to work with just about anyone, anywhere. We welcome opportunities with new clients, large and small, that are looking for our expertise to improve the functionality and performance of their networking systems.
